Indeed, here below we do not have a permanent city, but we are looking for the one that is coming. Hebrews 13:14

One of the basic desires of the soul is to continue to live again and again. Self-preservation is the first law of nature. People can get tired of the aches and pains and decrepitude of old age, but they do not get tired of life itself. God arranged to satisfy this aspiration of the soul to live forever and the desire to be free from pain, sickness and trouble. People are small creatures with great abilities, beings endless with infinite desires, deserving only to demand everything. God has created people with this tremendous capacity and desire to enter and fully satisfy that desire. God has made the human heart so great that only He can fulfill it. He has made so much that he alone asks to respond to this request... Jesus Christ is the only one to hold the keys to death. In his death and resurrection, he was right in death, and now God offers eternal life to anyone who puts his trust and faith in his Son, Jesus Christ.

Prayer for the day

Lord Jesus, when I am at the end of this earthly life, you will be there to guide me to my heavenly home. Thank you my dear father.
