The blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, continually cleanses me from all sin.

There is another precious thing that the blood of Jesus does for us, something most Christians do not know about. Hebrews 12: 22,24 We read : "You [all true believers] have come near Mount Zion ... the blood of spraying that speaks better than Abel's."

On the heavenly mountain of Zion, the blood of Jesus was sprinkled for us in the Holy of Holies, before God Himself. Christ entered this place as our forerunner, having obtained our eternal redemption through his sacrifice and he sprinkled the proof of this redemption in the very presence of God the Almighty Father.

We should notice an important contrast here. Formerly in history, Cain, the eldest son of Adam and Eve, killed his brother, Abel. He then tried to deny his responsibility, but the Lord confronted him and said : "You have no way to hide your guilt, for your brother's blood, which you shed on earth, is crying out for vengeance. to me." (See Genesis 4: 1-15.) In contrast, the blood Jesus sprayed in heaven shouts not revenge but mercy. The blood represents a continual pleading in the very presence of God to obtain his mercy.

Once we have personally witnessed the power of Jesus' blood, we no longer have to repeat these words every five minutes, because the blood of Jesus speaks incessantly in our favor in the very presence of God. Whenever we are troubled, tempted, fearful or anxious, we should remember this : the blood of Jesus speaks for me in the presence of God right now.

Prayer of the day :

Thank you Lord for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that his blood begs mercy for me in the presence of God right now. The blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, continually cleanses me from all sin. Amen.
