• The Christian without fear, the decisive moment

Let me tell you the African story of the elephant and the ant. An elephant was crossing a rickety bridge and a little ant was sitting on the elephant just behind the huge ear. The bridge was shaking as it crossed, and when they were safe on the other side, the ant said to the elephant : "Say so, we did move this bridge, did not we ?". This story represents the relationship we have with God when we rely on him. He carries us (Isaiah 46: 4). He moves the bridge. He places... he builds our home, our church, our business. The Lord leads us to success. Through him, we realize that the impossible becomes possible.

Faith makes the difference. This is the most basic distinction between two people. The whole world stands either on one side or on the other side of the line of faith. There are only two categories of people, not the rich and the poor, the whites and the blacks, the learned and the ignorant, the Jews and the Greeks, the men and the women. None of these distinctions actually exist in Christ. For God, there are only believers and unbelievers. "Whoever believes and who is baptized will be saved, but whoever believes will not be condemned" (Mark 16:16).

Faith belongs to a new dimension. Unbelief belongs to the dimension that is destined to disappear. Faith is the dividing line drawn among humanity. To have faith or not is the alternative to our way of apprehending life.

Fear sees only what the man sees. Faith, she sees what God sees, and receives its fulfillment. Faith begets action and men and women of action, like Caleb and Joshua. Unbelief keeps us in a spiritual desert, as Israel has been for so many years. Fear and doubt amplify the difficulties, making us believe that no one can be won for Christ and that the world is too strong. Without faith, we fear failure and mockery. Faith says that men and women can be won, and we are filled with joy. By faith, we go from the minimum to the maximum.
