A life...

Our Lord Jesus Christ. It was he who reduced death to impotence. 2 Timothy 1.10

She was born into a Muslim family. One evening, when she comes home from school, she is struck by an intense feeling of loneliness. A deep anguish comes over her, as she realizes that her life has an end : it will end in death. This absurdity petrifies her. She can no longer eat, she sleeps badly, she withdraws into her fear. She would like to know the god to whom her mother addresses her prayers five times a day.

Cahin-caha, five years go by. May 68 closes the schools. The cobblestones of his street fly into the hands of the demonstrators. Parents and children remain locked in the apartment. But on Sunday morning, calm returns and they decide to take a walk in the public garden. Unfortunately, their completely rutted street is closed to all traffic. "Going down the street next door, we will still come to the garden," said the father. In this street, a different shop calls out to the young girl. It's a Christian bookstore. In the window, a large book is open and a few lines are highlighted. It reads : "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The world lights up for her. By this page, by these few words, God came to meet him. Her life has meaning, she is no longer alone, her joy still lasts today.
