A new year, a lot more glorious

When Jesus was raised to heaven, it is written : "And as they stared up at the sky as he went, behold, two men dressed in white appeared to them, and said : Galilean men, why do you stop ? you look at the sky ? This Jesus, who was taken up from you to heaven, will come in the same way as you have seen him going to heaven" (Acts 1: 10-11).

The physical position of the disciples was a real prefiguration of the attitude of the believers of the last times. Today, many in the Church are lukewarm, passive and the love of the many has cooled. They have the appearance of piety, but their Christian life is no more than a beautiful evangelical religion, beautiful from the outside, but producing no real fruit. They are in a state of spiritual sleep. Is this your case ? If so, I would like to encourage you by the Holy Spirit to repent of all dead works, of all religion, of all sin, of all things that prevent you from living the true gospel and bearing fruit.

When the disciples were taken over by the angels, they left the hill on which they were and went to the city. We are not destined to stay on the mountain, but we have to go to the city, where the world is lost. So we will go to the upper room, be it a mountain, a church building or a room, but then we will go to the world. We will pray, then we will go.

"It was not you who chose me. No, it was I who chose you ; I gave you the mission to go, to bear fruit, fruit that is sustainable. Then the Father will give you all that you ask in my name" (John 15:16). When we 'go', what we will ask for will be houses or cars ? No, it will be much bigger, much more noble, much more glorious. It will be powerful and it will transform the lives of people around us. I believe that God will, in this New Year, do extraordinary things through you ! Do you want it ? Pray now ! Go ahead, do it !
