A small gesture !

2 Corinthians 11.6 (PDV) - I can't speak very well. But for the knowledge of God, it is something else !

Did you know from this verse that Paul had difficulty expressing himself ? Even though he had a great knowledge, he couldn't always translate it into words. This finding prompted me to think about it, which I am sharing with you here.

When we study the art of communication, we are told that words represent only 7% of the message transmitted. 28% speak intonation and 65% gesture ! So, it’s not that big of a deal if we have trouble expressing ourselves because we can all have the right gesture at the right time.

My brothers, my sisters, if you want to express your love for your spouse, an "I love you" will not be enough ! A smile, a hand that caresses the cheek, a hug, washed and tidy dishes... will get the message across much better than words. You don't have to be a poet for that, right ?

Dad, Mum, if you want to express your love to your child, an "I love you" will not satisfy him but a play session, crouch down to talk to him, take him on your shoulders, tell him a story before the sleep... will give him the assurance that he is loved !

Do you understand what I mean my beloved ? Not knowing how to express yourself well in language is not a problem in itself, not knowing how to express your feelings, yes, that is a problem. I am not saying this to put extra weight on your shoulders, as this difficulty certainly stems from wounds, but to encourage you to seek healing from the Lord. Sometimes, we have accepted things as inevitable, but Jesus can change us in depth. Your household needs you to express your joy, your contentment, your love, your tenderness... do not deprive it !
