A strange reason to rejoice !

“Therefore do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing hidden that shall not be discovered, nor secret that shall not be known.” Matthew 10:26

How would you like your innermost secrets and all your sins to come to light ? The Bible says it will someday happen. “Each of us will give an account to God for himself” (Romans 14. 12). “All is naked and uncovered in the sight of Him to whom we are to render an account” (Hebrews 4:13). “He reveals what is deep and hidden. He knows what is in darkness ”(Daniel 2:22). “On the day of judgment, men will give an account of every empty word they speak” (Matthew 12:36). “The Lord will bring to light all that is hidden and will manifest the purposes of the hearts” (1 Corinthians 4, 5). When Jesus said : “There is nothing hidden that must not be discovered,” that should make us panic, rather than reassure us, right ? Why would that be a reason to rejoice ? Romans 2:16 gives us the answer: “God will judge, through Jesus Christ, the secret actions of men”. Have you noticed the words “through Jesus Christ”? Point them out then take a deep breath ! You can relax : Jesus Christ is the filter through which God will see and judge our actions. Listen to these words again : "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8: 1). “He who has faith in Jesus is justified” (Romans 3:24). “Whoever believes is justified by Him from all things” (Acts 13. 39). “I will forgive their iniquities, and I will no longer remember their sins” (Hebrews 8:12). “Your sinful nature is dead and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3.3). Today, when God looks at you, He only sees the One who completely envelops you. Your weaknesses still need to be addressed, but they no longer prevent you from being “in Christ”. And the final victory is guaranteed to you! This is why you have a very good reason to celebrate !
