A word near you
What is she saying ? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. Now, it is the word of faith that we preach. Romans 10.8
The blue whale and plankton live in the same ocean, the red kite and the gnat both move through the atmosphere, the cheetah and the turtle roam the soil of the earth. Differences in size, depth, altitude and speed, you might say ! Well looked at, but there are some similarities in their living environments, aren't there ? If we know how to differentiate things, we are also able to identify their common points...
Like a leaf among those of the same tree, a man is both unique and similar to others ! He is independent, free and capable of differentiated choices. But it is also linked to humanity in its nature, needs, abilities and weaknesses.
In fact, we cannot read the gospels with the understanding that Christ speaks exclusively for one class of people. Jesus speaks to the hearts of each and everyone in particular. And because man has not fundamentally changed, his words remain relevant... It is in a spirit of personal listening, in an attitude of identification with the sinner, that the words of Jesus will benefit us. In this year 2022, I wish you a privileged reading of the Bible. May it become a close interview with your Creator.
