He who believes in the Son has eternal life ; he who does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him instead. John 3. 36
A world in ebullition
The world is experiencing violent popular revolts, social conflicts, revealing a deep malaise. Why all this fuss ? "Why this turmoil among the nations and these meaningless preoccupations among the peoples ?" says the Bible (Psalm 2:1). It also gives us the answer: "The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers league together against the Lord and against him whom he has appointed by anointing (Christ) : Let us tear their bonds, cast their chains far from us !" (v. 2, 3). Humanity wants to live without God and without Jesus Christ. It is indeed a fight that is being organized against God.
Over 2000 years ago the Son of God came to earth to bring grace and truth. The men of that time rejected him and put him to death. But he conquered death. He is risen, demonstrating both his power and the madness of men.
This rejection of God is still relevant today. We refuse the teachings that he communicated to us in his Word. The instructions it gives are ridiculed by a society that thinks it is progressing. The glorification of man will find its apogee when one of them rises with excessive pride, imposes himself as the religious leader of the world and wants to take the place of God. The Bible calls him "the man of sin" (2 Thessalonians 2:3), the Antichrist. But God will then intervene to judge him with the non-believers.
Do not wait to fall under the wrath of God. Jesus Christ, still today, gives us peace with God through faith in him. Then we will be peaceful, with the certainty that he will take care of us.
