Abide in His love !

“May you know His love.” Ephesians 3:19

The love of God has nothing to do with your personality. Others love you under certain conditions, but not God. He loves you because He has decided to love you. His constant love, spontaneous and without reason, depends only on Him and is brought about only by a conscious choice on His part. Listen : “It is not because you outnumber all peoples that the Lord has become attached to you and chosen you. Indeed, you are the smallest of all peoples. But it is because the Lord loves you.” (Deuteronomy 7,7-8). You can never deserve His love, any more than you can influence Him in any way. Paul wrote : “But this is how God shows his love for us : while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5: 8). There is no other point of reference. Nothing in the whole universe can compare to the love of God. Your material success is no proof of God’s love for you, nor is your hardship proof that He has ceased to love you ! Jesus said : “Abide in My love” (John 15.9). But to remain in His love, you have to feel good with Him ! Your home is the place where everyone knows you, where you feel safe and always welcome. John wrote : “He that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him" (1 John 4:16 King James Version). To abide in His love means that you hold on to Christ like a branch of a vine wraps around the vine. Does the branch separate from the vine ? If she does, she dies. Can the branch stop the flow of sap that comes from the vine ? No, it must receive its nourishment from it 24 hours a day. Would you agree to say that the branch depends one hundred percent on the vine ? Listen : "The branch cannot bear fruit by itself without remaining attached to the vine ; so it is with you if you do not remain in Me" (John 15.4). His Word for you today : “abide in His love !”
