Accomplish, persevere, receive !

Hebrews 10.36 - For you have need of perseverance, that after you have done the will of God, you may obtain what is promised to you.

Notice how our verse speaks of three very specific periods. The first of these periods is doing the will of God. We are used to “absorbing” promises easily, but we have great difficulty doing God's will. Even though this will is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12: 2), we find it difficult to submit. However, if we don't enter this period, we won't see the others either. It is especially striking in the prophetic realm, if we receive a word we will easily withhold the promise, but we will just as easily forget the "conditional" of God. For example, I take the word given to Joshua : "Let not this book of the law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, to act faithfully according to all that is written in it ; for then you will be successful in your endeavors, then you will be successful" (Joshua 1: 8). Joshua could have remembered : "You will succeed in your undertakings", yes but : "If you meditate on the Word".

The second period is perhaps even more difficult : now is the time for perseverance. This period can be more or less long. It is not enough to take a step in the direction of the will of God by saying to oneself : "Here it is done, give me the fulfillment of the promise". We will have to persevere in this process day after day, month after month, year after year perhaps. Unfortunately, this is where many fail, because they lack consistency and tenacity. Walking in the will of God will make us go against the tide and our adversary will wage war on us to stop us. The word I speak about your life if this is the case for you is : "Arise and walk in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth !" Do not let yourself be robbed of your destiny and the blessing that will flow from your faithful walk”.

After this time of perseverance, God will fulfill his Word. We will be able to taste the faithfulness of God. However, if we have come to this point, let us not rest on our laurels. God will still have other challenges for us. He takes so much pleasure in seeing his children walk in His plans, it is so much the best for us.
