After the suffering, the blessing !

“Naomi was deprived of her two sons and her husband.” Ruth 1.5

When their respective husbands died, a special bond was established between Naomi, Ruth and Orpah. Unless you have gone through the same kind of ordeal, it is difficult to understand. Special relationships, which neither age, nor race, nor social class, nor education can explain, are sometimes created between people whom everything seems to separate. If you are suffering, do not seek help from people who have never been through the kind of suffering you are experiencing today. Others cannot give you what they do not have. They often only have empty words to offer you, and soon tire you out and accentuate your isolation. But once you discover divine grace and see the hand of God at work, you can start living again, remarry, have a new child, start a new career, dream other dreams... Charles Spurgeon has writes : “Like old soldiers comparing their old stories and examining their respective scars, once we arrive in our heavenly home, we will compare our various experiences of the faithfulness of God who has always sustained us through our trials. I do not want to be taken for the only one up there who has never suffered pain and sorrow, nor to feel like a complete stranger within this holy community! Like me, be happy and proud to have shared the same battles, because, very soon, you will wear the same crown !” When life turns upside down and living another day becomes an exhausting battle, remember that the enemy has never succeeded in wresting the rudder of your life from the hands of God. God knows exactly what you are going through and He always has a plan for your existence. Take heart : blessing comes after suffering. Victory comes from the heart of the fight. Take the divine hand and hold it well, He will accompany you until the end of the crisis.
