"A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful ambassador brings health" (Proverbs 13:17).
A faithful ambassador brings what ? A faithful ambassador brings health !
How did someone bring health ? Does an unhealthy person bring health ? Does a wounded heart or someone who has not dealt with his own heart condition cause healing for others ? What about someone struggling with emotions that are out of control ? Does this kind of missionary bring a healthy gospel to a foreign land ? For a city like the one you live in ?
When we say : "We are missionaries...", I wish that we are missionaries healthy. That we would bring health ; that we would be faithful ambassadors.
Consider for which we will be faithful. Yes, to bring the gospel to the world around us and, yes, to help those who need it. But the first thing we must be faithful to is the condition of our own heart. We must have a strong and healthy heart before the Lord.
You do not want that, my friend ? Are not you just to be healed, healthy and healthy and have a strong spiritual well-being inside ? Do not you want you to wake up in the morning and have life, joy and peace and abundance that Jesus promised ?
He said : "I come to give you life and life of mediocrity so that you can live life and live wounded ... and angry ... and troubled." Wait ! Is that what Jesus said ? Or did he say : "I have come to have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10) ?
An abundant life ! In good health ! Full ! Vigorous ! Strong ! Courageous ! We should strive to become Christians who recognize that this power comes from a heart that has been healed, that is made healthy and whole, and in it alone.
