As we wait in faith for it to work, we must believe that it hears the cry of our heart : "Brethren, take the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord ... that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful" (James 5: 10-11). God is deeply moved by our tears and our groans. He hears our tears.
Jesus gave us an ironic promise for these last days.
Christ left us a glorious promise to see us in the dark days that the world is facing right now. He says to all who take up their cross and follow him : "Because you have kept my orders to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 3:10).
In essence, Jesus said : "You were true when you were tested by the world, you waited for me with joy to make the case, now that there is confusion and the world is tested, You have already proved that you will trust me, come what happens !"
The shining witnesses for Christ in these last days will be humble people who have proved him faithful. Not only do they proclaim : "God has everything under control," but they did let him control their lives. And everyone around them has seen it! The beauty of their testimony will attract much to the Lord. And their testimony is this : "He will not be afraid of the bad news : his heart is firm and trusting in the Lord" (Psalm 112: 7). Amen !
