"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness ... Do not worry for the morrow, for the next day will be for his own sake : every day is enough for his trouble." Matthew 6:34

In this twenty-first century, man manifests an uneasiness perhaps hitherto unknown. Every day, the media speaks of an international crisis, economic problems in all states, political instability, global warming, open wars or wars, anarchy, terrorism, bankruptcy filings, unemployment figures that are constantly advancing ... ... And tomorrow ? If he looks at those around him, the man sees many morose faces, tense, worried, men and women who worry about tomorrow !
But here he meets people who seem serene, happy, who have a relaxed face ... Who are these people ? Men and women who hear and see the same things, who are facing the same problems ... and who, nevertheless, do not worry about tomorrow! What is their secret ? They put their trust in God and are assured of the future. Why fear if we are willing to let ourselves be led by him ? Yet today's verse is not an excuse for being indifferent and unexpected about our daily responsibilities.
Certainly, the period we are now going through is not easy, but the anxiety must not invade the heart of the believer : "Reject [your] concern for him, for he cares for you" (1 Pet. 7). The Christian is sensitive to the sad realities of the world but is reassured to know that his powerful Heavenly Father takes care of him and will give him the ability to face difficulties. He also has the hope of a future of happiness that will never end ! May this confidence and this vision of the morrow be always in us ; So we can radiate around us this happiness !
To all the believers who are experiencing difficulties and wondering what will be done tomorrow, Paul says again today : "Do not worry about anything, but in all circumstances, expose your requests to God through prayer and supplication, Thanksgiving ; And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus "(Phil 4: 6, 7) ... If you listen, your entourage will find that you are not worried about the day of Tomorrow !
