Answer the call, all simply...

"I'm ready, send me." Isaiah 6.8

God loves simplicity, even when he calls you to follow him. Many people imagine that he surrounds himself with mystery when he addresses humans, and that it would be a question of solving puzzles to arrive at the understanding of his plans for their lives.

Is this your case ?

"You can, like the prophet, exclaim : "Send me !" Then the Lord will send you into the way he has traced for you."

When God speaks to Isaiah, the dialogue is simple, clear and direct :

"I heard the Lord say : Who shall I send (...)

So I said : I'm ready, send me.

And the Lord said to me : Go (...)"

It's hard to be simpler, is it ?

Jesus himself, when he called his disciples, said to them : "Follow me." And they did it, they followed it !

I believe that God wants to address you in the same way today. Without protocol, without big pumps, without great mystery... but with a simple word that you can simply welcome. God has a plan for your life and he wants to fulfill it. He will do everything so that you understand the life he has for you ! And he knows how to address you since he has created you and knows your heart and your thoughts perfectly.

Are you ready ? Isaiah could affirm it after being cleansed of his sins and that's what you are if you gave up your life at the foot of the cross.

You can, like the prophet, exclaim : "Send me !" Then the Lord will send you in the way he has traced for you.

A prayer for today

Lord, I believe that you have a call for my life and that you will show it to me and accompany me there. Help me to accept your word and answer "Here I am, send me." Quite simply !
