Are we in error ?

Isaiah 3.12 – My people have children as oppressors and women rule over them ; My people, those who lead you are leading you astray.

This scripture passage from Isaiah could have been written for this 21st century.

So that children are not "offended", we have forbidden to ban, no more rules, no more frames. We have thus created child kings, abandoning for many of us our responsibility as parents.

In order not to upset our little ones, we accepted everything and that's how they became oppressors, believing themselves to be allowed everything and not accepting to submit to any form of authority., stoning the firefighters, causing the forces of order, leading the household with the wand.

Would you have imagined a few years ago that children would decide what household purchases, where to go on vacation, what times they would eat and respond as they do to their parents ?

Divorced people have often succumbed to “blackmail” in fear of losing their children permanently and we can understand that. However, they were deceived because the absence of authority, discipline and framework do not bring a child into respect, quite the contrary.

Also, if today we make the sad observation that in our house, children are kings and oppress us, bring our shortcomings to the Lord, ask Him for forgiveness, entrust our children to Him and decide that from this day, we will be a loving but responsible parent. God will not fail to come to our rescue even if it has to go through some turbulence.
