Are you in the fog ?

"The Lord will walk before you, he will be with you. He will not let you go, he will not abandon you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31.8

Have you ever crossed the fog ? This can be disruptive or even dangerous if you drive. And it can also become depressing, especially if it lasts for several days. This may not be the case at home, but in some parts of the world, such as the small islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon (near Canada), where one of my friends has lived, the fog can last a very long time. ..

God is in control, the fog will eventually dissipate.

The fog is like smoke, a screen more or less opaque, a veil ... In reality, the fog is made up of many and very small water droplets that reduce visibility on the ground a few meters. In the end, the fog is like a cloud whose base touches the earth. I do not know about you, but in foggy weather, I do not like to hit the road. We do not see anything or at least not much, the driving is slowed down ... I prefer when there is a beautiful sun, that the sky is blue ... in short, when I clearly perceive the road to follow.

The fog I would like to talk about today is not just a weather phenomenon. This veil that hides the road, which hides the future, we all feel at one time or another. When one is not sure of the road to take, or what is at the end of the road. When one is lost ...

This is where the Word of God becomes important when it tells us :

"The Lord will walk before you, he will be with you. He will not let you go, he will not abandon you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. "Deuteronomy 31.8

And so many other verses that remind us that God is in control, that the fog is passing through and that it will eventually dissipate.

If you are passing through a fog, know that this cloud is only a fleeting cloud ... God is timeless, eternal, invincible. God does not leave you. He is not sleeping. He does not change.

An encouragement for today

Today, choose to cross your foggy areas with Jesus. Hold on to the Lord, hold fast to his word. Cross this fog with faith ... and see the cloud fade and the sun come back.
