Are you too proud to accept a miracle ?
“It’s not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.” Matthew. 15. 26
Desperation puts us in situations where we have nothing more to lose. When our suffering has reached its peak, then we agree to do anything to alleviate it. When Jesus told the Canaanite woman who asked Him to heal her daughter : “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs”, she could have become angry and retorted : “But Who do you think you are to call me a dog ?” But no, she replied : “Lord, but the little ones eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table” And her daughter was healed. Why ? Because the mother had agreed to humiliate herself and refused to be offended by Jesus' remark. And you, would you agree to do the same ? Because Naaman was a great army chief, his pride nearly cost him his recovery ! At first he got angry with Elisha because he had sent his servant to see him instead of going to him ; then he lost his temper and walked away when the prophet showed him how he could be healed. "I don't take orders from anyone !" could he have cried out ! If you think you are too important, if you are too proud, you risk losing what God wants to give you and becoming a useless servant. Don't let your pride rob you of your blessing. In the heart of the battle, know how to keep your head down. If you look up when the shooting is in full swing, you risk losing your life ! The Bible says : “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may lift you up when the time is right” (1 Peter 5.6). Let God uplift you in due time and according to His will. Never try to do it yourself !
