Are your difficulties wanted by God ?
Search the Scriptures
God is faithful, and he will not allow the test to be beyond your strength in the future. In times of temptation, he will give you the strength to resist it and he will prepare a way out so that you emerge victorious. 1 Corinthians 10:13 Living Word Version
Are difficulties wanted by God ? We can more easily admit that difficulties and trials are permitted by God. But what is it really ?
This is an important question, because so many people abandon the faith thinking that God has abandoned them when they were in the midst of a painful trial.
Jesus himself seemed to send the disciples into the face of trials or problems. For example, he asks them to meet them on the other side of the lake. The storm breaks. Jesus walks on the water as does Peter, then the weather calms down. My opinion is that Jesus knew the storm was coming, and that it was an opportunity for him to manifest his glory and power, in order to make the disciples grow in their faith.
Joseph spent many years in prison. Would he have been ready to rule Egypt without these years of imprisonment ? I do not think so. It was in prison that he must have developed a deep and intimate relationship with his Lord, and learned patience and self-control. It is the same for David in the mountains and for Moses in the desert.
Sometimes we must pass the tests that God allows ; sometimes we must resist and refuse the trials and temptations that the devil sends us.
Gunnar Olson said : "There are only two reasons for the difficulties faced by those whom God has called: either they are in sin and disobedience, or they are in the center of His will ! The first way leads to death, but the second leads through death to resurrection life in Christ. What a difference !”
Yes, it is within trials that we can experience the full presence of God. It is through trials that the Lord shapes our character to accomplish His perfect will.
Listen the voice of God
Do you sometimes feel like you are completely overwhelmed by your difficulties ? Take the time to listen to what God wants to tell you about this.
Praying is simple. Talk to God like you would your closest friend. God loves you and can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, I know that you shape me through my difficulties, my trials. I really want to know you even more deeply and learn to rejoice in your presence in all circumstances."
Praise God
Praising God means showing your gratitude to Him for His beneficial and calming presence in the midst of the storms and sufferings of your life. You can list your gratitude topics and put praise to praise Him in your current situation. Sing for him with all your heart !
Take action today
If this message upsets you, you may be challenged in the situation you are going through. You can decide to change your outlook and stop accusing everyone and in particular your loving God. He has already planned your exit from the tunnel. So keep trust in him, he loves you so much !
Honor the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Thank you, my God, for your beneficent presence in ALL circumstances of my life ! Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
