At a service station

I had to go change tires at a service station, and I had already thought of offering a book to the person who is filling my tank. As in Africa, in Quebec it is a service that still exists. This small service station also offers mower repairs and tire installation.

As I was about to leave home, a thought crossed me to take in my basement 2 books "365 days in the heart of proverbs". I find this book the most appropriate for unbelievers, among those I wrote so far. So I went down to my basement to see that I had a water leak in progress ! My basement was flooded, and if I did not obey, it would have been pretty devastating. I was able to remove the water quickly.

Arriving at the station, I offered the book to the wife of the gentleman who installed the tires. She too was working to put gas in cars. She thanked me, saying that she loved proverbs, and opens it on her birthday, September 7th. She reads this :

In some areas you have to be careful if you take the taxi because it is possible that the driver adds a lot to the taximeter. It can also happen when someone fills up the fuel tank of your car.

She was really surprised to find that this thought was about her job ! I told him it was certainly the only time I talked about a pump attendant in my book (and that's the case).
