At the hairdresser (continued)

While I was in the living room with my daughter, Helen told how much she loved cartoons for children, and parties such as Christmas and Easter. It is only now that I realize that these two feasts would have been an opportunity to announce the Gospel by using the news for the latter. Helen made the gift of making a very pretty braid to my daughter.

I left a generous tip and went directly to a small house where we sell excellent pastries. I choose two beautiful cupcakes, with pink and little Easter eggs on it, enough to bless the two hairdressers who were alone to work this Saturday. My daughter went to drop them, and they thanked her for the delicate attention of her dad. Helen did not hear of the Lord that day, but at least she received a delicate attention that may have never been made in the living room.

Several months later, when I returned to this salon, I met a new hairdresser, Marie-Christine. I asked him a question : "I imagine that in 20 years, you have often had to ask yourself the same questions (indeed, hairdressers often have to hear the same questions about the duration of their employment, the rain and the good weather, if they like their work, where they live, etc.), but I'm sure you've never been asked the question I'm going to ask you."

She was intrigued and offered to ask her. I say to him : "Do you sometimes pray ?". Indeed, it was the first time we asked him that.

I shared the Gospel with him and asked him about Helen. She had changed profession, and was now working for the funeral of the neighboring city ! I wrote her an e-mail several months after the e-mail she had sent me.
