Be contagious

"Noah believed in God, God told him events that were not yet seen, so Noah took God's word seriously, built a boat to save his family." Hebrews 11.7

Do you have any worries ? Do you go through a difficult test ? Is life hard ? Do you see the future dark and stuffy ? So Noah's story might help you.

"Your faith can become contagious and lead to the salvation of those around you."

Noah lived even more difficult times than ours. No church around him. He was the only believer. No ministries or gatherings. No Bible, no spiritual books. Jesus had not yet come to proclaim the grace and the Holy Spirit was not widespread.

Noah was surrounded by wicked, idolatrous, mocking, skeptical people who refused to change their ways. They could have escaped the flood but did not want to hear anything.

Moreover, Noah knew that the end of this world was coming. He had to act if he did not want to disappear, he and his family. Yet he was not discouraged. Genesis does not tell us if he has had moments of doubt, tiredness. He must have had some! He was alone in the middle of a hostile crowd, building a boat in a place where there was no water ! But all that God has withheld is the way Noah acted.

Let's see how Noah behaved :

1. He believed : He trusted God.

2. As he believed, God revealed to him his plan, his Word.

3. When he listened to the Word of God, he took it seriously.

4. After taking the Word seriously, he obeyed and took action: he built a boat that saved him and his entire family.

This story also contains the promise of blessing and salvation for all who are with us. Noah's family represents those who are dear to us. I deeply believe that if we cry for those we love, we build a spiritual ark through our love, our faith, our prayers, our intercession.

To summarize, your faith leads to the salvation of those around you. You become very contagious !

Lord, I beg you to make me contagious to ... (put the name or names you want). I believe in your Word and I want to build this ark of love and salvation so that ... can (get in) with me.
