Be convinced. Do not curse you target

In a small sales manual, we find these tips : Show interest in the product : When you sell a product, show that you like your job. A good salesman likes to sell, he is motivated by what he sells and he is able to communicate his enthusiasm and certainty to the customer. Indeed, a customer has several options, including leaving if he feels that the pressure of the seller is too strong. Tips : Learn to listen to your client, to decipher his body language. Avoid interrupting or contradicting the client, let him speak. Know how to interpret the arms crossed, the look and the way to stand...

One of the dangers as an evangelist is to have an ulterior motive of salesman, as if we had something to sell. This kind of ulterior motive puts us in an uncomfortable situation, where we think we are almost indebted. But of course, we are not sellers and we announce the Gospel for free! However, there is something in common between the sale of a product and the presentation of the gospel, points that we should not neglect.

One of the things that most marks the people to whom the gospel is proclaimed is our personal testimony. Someone said that there is nothing more convincing than a convinced person. This is also why some Christians do not share the gospel with anyone : they do not do it because they are disappointed with the Lord, thinking that he is responsible for all their misfortunes. They are not convinced of the power of the Word of God and they do not believe that God is powerful enough to save anyone (for example, when these Christians declare that "no one wants to hear of the Lord", thus cursing their target). They lack passion, and if they had to walk to unbelievers to tell them Jesus, it would be backwards.

Let us ask ourselves this question : Is not what God has done in our life glorious to the point where we wish it would happen to everyone ?
