Be patient !

"But patience must perfectly accomplish its work, that you may be perfect and accomplished, without failing in anything." James 1.4

It was summer and a small fun fair had just taken place in our neighborhood. The day of the opening had been announced, but, problem ! No one could take me there until next week, so I was asked to wait.

God knows you ...

But, so excited at the idea of going into a merry-go-round, I decided to go alone by myself. So here I am running at high speed towards the fun fair. And it's shock, boom ! A car crashes me and puts me on the side of the road. Ah ... if I had been patient, this accident would not have happened !

Have you ever had patience and struggle with certain things that you did not foresee ? Or to disobey God impatiently ?

It often happens that God asks us to wait before answering a need that seems urgent. The problem is that we do not always understand why. "And why not now ? Why should I wait ?"

"But there is one thing, beloved, that you must not ignore is that before the Lord, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are as a day." 2 Peter 3.8

When God asks you to wait, it is never for the purpose of seeing you burn impatiently. Besides, do not worry, you will not wait a thousand years before he answers you.

The reality is quite different, for there are many prayers that you have raised to God, and which have been validated on His part. Nevertheless, he does not do things by halves, and be sure he knows if you are ready, or not, to receive what you asked him.

Do you know a father who would give the keys of his car to his 14 year old son who does not have the permit ? Or a mom who would give her 4-year-old daughter fries, because she wants to eat them ?

God knows you, and when he asks you to wait, it is as if he were telling you : "Leave me time to prepare." So when you have patience, you allow him to continue his work in your life. "You need patience ..." Hebrews 10.36

A decision for today

Father, I thank you and I decide to trust you and wait patiently for my request.
