Be yourself

"On seeing him, Peter said to Jesus : And this one, Lord, what will happen to him ? Jesus said to him : If I want him to live until I come back, how does it concern you ? he ?" John 21.21-22

Pierre was intrigued. The Lord had just revealed to him things about his future, and rather than thinking about it, his mind was especially curious to know the destiny of his friend. What will happen to him ? Will her life be better than mine ? Is his call better than mine ? Will he have a life more inspiring than me ? All these questions had to jostle in him.

What makes you and no one else is what ignites you.

You probably know this saying : "The grass is greener elsewhere." This expression is used when one imagines that the situation of another is better than ours. I have heard to contradict this thought : "The grass is not greener elsewhere, it is green where it is watered." And I will add that if it happened to be greener elsewhere, this is certainly due to the fact that it is better maintained.

To live the life of another, to dream of having the call of so-and-so or the impact and the scale of such a person, it has titillated a lot of people. I even once saw a woman get sick, she sighed to have the life of another lady in the church.

When you try to be another, often you are pathetic and without impact. I imagine that you have already seen a person talking about a subject that did not interest him. How does he behave ? What is his tone ? Certainly boring. Conversely, as soon as a person discusses a topic that fascinates him, everything changes. His posture, his tone, his whole body lights up and vibrates, his eyes start to sparkle.

What makes you and no one else is what ignites you, electrifies you. I believe that any person from the moment she is in her place, and speaks of what burns in her, becomes exciting and interesting. If you press the right levers of who you really are, then a lion, a lioness will come out.

A question for today

Am I playing a game imitating others or am I faithful to who I am ?
