Becoming someone who endure the ordeals

Why do some people just seem to slip through their lives ? They seem never to suffer. Everything they touch thrives and they always seem to be happy, as if they had no problem.

One might wonder how such a thing is possible. In fact, when you look at such Christians, you may ask yourself, "What's wrong with me? Why do I have to endure one difficulty after another since I gave myself entirely to Jesus ? When I was cold and lukewarm in faith, everything was fine. I did not know that such difficulties were possible until I made a serious commitment to God."

Your answer is in this verse: "After being enlightened" (Hebrews 10:32), which means "after seeing the light." So, after you opened your life to Jesus and were filled with His Light that your great struggle and your afflictions begin.

Satan attacks us according to the amount of light we receive and in which we walk. Those who walk in a small ray of light are not a threat to the devil's kingdom. He reserves his "great struggle amidst suffering" to those who love light with all their heart, who embrace all that Christ has in store for them (see Hebrews 10:32).

Such saints have no part in the darkness. They have seized upon a faith that has made them men and women who endure trials, soldiers who do not retreat but walk in full assurance of faith !

"Do not give up your insurance, to which is attached a great remuneration. For you need perseverance, that after you have fulfilled the will of God, you will obtain what is promised to you (Hebrews 10: 35-36).
