By buying a car

I had to buy a car and that did not really fascinate me. In fact, I do not like buying too much. I prayed in the car towards Montreal, asking the Lord to give me an opportunity to announce his Word. Arriving at the garage, a young man of my age welcomed me and introduced me to some cars. One of them, in the middle of the glazed garage, looked interesting, and we settled in front, closing the doors on us for almost 30 minutes. This man had questions, he was thirsty. I exposed to him my testimony of conversion, and how God was so real, so good, so wonderful. The presence of God was so strong in this car. We kept in touch and he called me regularly, starting to read the Bible and asking me questions about what he was reading. He had already had the opportunity to hear about Jesus.

One day, an elderly couple who was looking for a car sent her a letter of encouragement to accept Jesus. He prayed to receive Jesus, but not to be born again. He came to church with his friend and his children, while I preached on a theme they really needed. For almost 3 years, I did not really have any news, sending him messages on occasion. One day, he contacted me, in crisis. Her friend was gloriously saved, and joined a church, and both were baptized. And all this began in a garage, three years earlier... This man was baptized but did not show any real sign of a new birth. His friend left him. A few days ago, I told him about the Lord, encouraging him again to show the signs of true repentance (one day after writing this thought, I learned that this older couple sent him a new message. Oh, the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer !).

Some people are thought to be alive, but they are dead. They think they are saved because they pray or have been baptized. None of this saves. "And this is the judgment : the light has come into the world, and men have preferred darkness to light because their way of doing things was evil" (John 3:19).
