I wanted to one day honor my father and buy him a Rolex watch. My dad really likes watches. I found an advertisement from a collector who was selling a used one. I took advantage of going to buy it after a conference. The man introduced me to his wife, and I found that kind of him. I took the opportunity to tell them about Jesus. I felt that their couple needed it. He had worked for many years as a firefighter in his city, wishing to help people. I prayed for them with all my heart and went back to my car after paying for it. But the man phoned me a few minutes later... I forgot the Rolex !
When I talk about Jesus, I easily forget everything else. Do not be in a hurry when you talk about Jesus. Maybe this day is the last one for this person.
During my parents' holidays, we visited an island in Quebec. A woman was selling a lot of things in front of her house, moving a few days later. I told him about Jesus and handed him a Gospel of John. It was a divine encounter, planned by God himself. I believe that when we meet before God, God will show us all the appointments he had planned and we missed.
In our city, there is regularly what is called "garage sales". People put objects in front of them for sale, and stay all day selling things that have become useless. At the last garage sale, it was fine and I took the opportunity to walk with my daughter, making for the first time one of these garage sales. We left several booths of evangelistic cd, and talked about Jesus. What a superb opportunity, while walking, to offer them the object of salvation, a salvation that will never be useless ! They will never need to get rid of it, nor pay to get it ! "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
