Can Prayer Really Move Mountains ?

Prayer is disconcerting. Speaking words to an invisible person sometimes even confuses the practitioners themselves. It takes a certain amount of faith to speak to a physically absent being, it takes even more to believe that he will hear them. It takes a deep confidence to think that he will act according to the prayers addressed to him.

In fact, prayer brings into play the springs of the supernatural. The supernatural is an integral part of prayer.

Yet many pray only for "probable" things, which have statistically significant chances of happening.

For example, praying for success on a well-revised exam has a likely success rate of 80% or 90%. Or pray for a cure from a cold that has, sooner or later, a success rate close to 100%.

But praying for unlikely situations highlights other levers.

When humanly inextricable situations or imminent danger can visibly be resolved only by a supernatural external intervention.

Prayer can also act smoothly and underwater : regular prayer repeated over several days or even years has the power to tilt things in the unseen world. It allows for the placement and progressive interaction of elements that, in a “normal” world, should never have interacted.

Because if prayer is believing that there are possible actions in a world that is beyond us, then it is coherent to consider that these actions cover a field of possibilities that is also beyond us.

This is how, through prayer, incurable diseases were healed, catastrophic finances recovered, desperate relationship situations were restored, or complex political situations were unraveled.

Effective prayer ?

To see an effect, however, the prayer cannot be simply said as one recites a poem. Effective prayer is part of a process of faith and a specific disposition of heart, carried out with confidence and audacity. It's not complicated, but can be learned.
