Carpe Diem

"This is the day that the LORD hath made : Let it be a matter of joy and joy unto us." Psalms 118.24

"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of himself. Matthew 6:34

Today is going to be a wonderful day, because it is the day that God made ...

Carpe Diem is a Latin expression which means : "Gather the present day without worrying about the morrow." It is so easy to be carried away by the worries of tomorrow. Where would I be next year ? Will the children succeed in their studies ? Will my health deteriorate ? Will we have enough money to pay the rent ? What will happen to our retirement if the economic situation does not improve ? While we worry about tomorrow, we do not fully live our day when today is all we have.

Many people get spoiled by their "today" by "yesterday" or "tomorrow". What would happen if you decided to make today a masterpiece and enjoy this day by cruising life to the fullest and living it to the bottom? What would happen if you decided to demonstrate your love to the people around you today and to act according to your dreams without having to wait until tomorrow ? Someone said : "No matter how big the trunk of a tree, if you give five blows a day, it will fall." Today, give your five axes and tomorrow will be another day.

Tell someone you love him. Contact a person who has harmed you and reconciled with it. Witness the kindness to a stranger. Find a moment to enjoy yourself. Carpe Diem ! Watch the sun go down tonight realizing that God, the ultimate artist, has done this for each of us. Listen to inspiring music in your car by making an unusual detour to view the scenery. Thank God for life and for all the blessings you have right now.

Carpe Diem ! I breathe, I see, I am loved by God, my sins are forgiven and I have the assurance to go to heaven for eternity ! Carpe Diem ! Today is going to be a magnificent day, for it is the day that God has made, it will be for me a subject of gladness !

A prayer for today

Take time to stop to thank God for the blessings in your life. Express your appreciation.
