Children taken hostage !
Psalms 10.3 - For the wicked boast in their lust, and the captor reproaches the Lord with contempt.
Everyone knows that divorce will cause collateral damage, especially if there are children in the relationship that breaks up. A study announced that around thirty people will be affected by a divorce. I would like to tell you that life is a carpet of roses but even if I told you this, I would have to tell you that these roses have thorns.
This damage could be "softened" if we did not witness a war caused by one of the parents who uses the children as a weapon. The children are taken hostage by one of the parents, who in the name of "love" for them, will use them to hurt the other. There are unfortunately too many examples, even among Christians, not to speak of them as if they did not exist. We must realize that this is the best way to psychologically destroy children and to destroy them socially.
How many children hear one parent say a lot of negative things about the other parent ? How much pressure is used to keep material goods on the pretext that they will be for children ? How many does not allow the visitation rights to be done in good conditions by the other parent and use a whole bunch of ploys to achieve their end ? The list would be long.
Do you think this parent loves his children ? Do you think he cares about their well-being ? It would be easy to answer yes in front of these behaviors because the parent who acts in this way will cry out loud and clear : "I love my child". However, let's try for a moment to reflect and understand the destructive impact that these behaviors will have on the child.
It's easier to talk negatively about your ex than to keep quiet about your mistakes. It is easier to steal, even what does not belong to us, than to give up what should be rightfully ours, for the sake of the children. It's easier not to accept that the ex-partner can be loved by their children, than to let go and accept that they have a good relationship.
Let's not be mean. If we go through a divorce, let's not use the children as a weapon. Moreover, sooner or later, they will turn against those who manipulated them in this way.
1 Corinthians 6:7 It is certainly already a fault with you to have lawsuits with one another. Why don't you rather suffer some injustice ? Why don't you let yourself be robbed instead ?
Good reflection.
