And my head shall be lifted up against my enemies that are round about me : I will offer sacrifices in his tabernacle, and I will sing praises, and I will sing praises to the Lord. "Psalms 27: 6
Depending on where we stand, our perspective, our angle of view are different. For example, if you are at the foot of a fir tree, this one will seem immense to you. Conversely, if you stand on top of the mountain, the smallest tree at the foot of it will seem tiny !
"Your attitude, not your abilities, determines your altitude"
We can draw from this image the same principle for our spiritual life. Zig Ziglar said : "Your attitude, not your abilities, determines your altitude." In other words, it is up to you to choose the point of view that you want to position yourself.
Look at David : you can feel how he shows this "top attitude" in this text.
He believes and by faith he visualizes that already, his head rises above the enemies that surround him. He no longer sees the enemy. He sees God who raises him, God who blesses him, God restores him, God who rewards him.
It is projected into the future. I will offer ... I will sing ... I will praise ... His tomorrows are assured. He knows that God will raise him up.
He is already beginning to thank God for what will be given him. Already his heart and his mouth are full of praise.
You can not choose the circumstances that happen to you, but you can decide what type of reaction you will adopt and how you will consider them. Choose to see them from above ! Choose the attitude that will allow you to place yourself above the storm, clouds and turbulences. Remember : above the clouds, the sky is always blue !
Today, I would like to encourage you to choose the right attitude, the one that will determine your altitude, the one that will allow you to see your situations with the gaze of God. Is there a situation that defies or scares you right now ? Spiritual "enemies" around you ? Know that God gives you victory !
An action for today
From now on, deliberately choose to see your situation as David saw his, that is, with already the victory in line of sight. See the favorable outcome. See, hear, the praises and prayers of gratitude you will give to God once victory is attested. In fact, you can even offer them now !
