Christmas, a star in the night

"When they saw the star, the magi were seized with great joy." Matthew 2.10

 

The period of the nativity finds its context in a dark history. The darkness was thick, the hope began to diminish. Israel had become a Roman province. The people sighed, hoping that a light would shine in their darkness. God gave grace in the midst of this dark context ; Indeed, a star appeared to revive hope. Jesus, the morning star, by his birth, came to tear the darkness.
The Lord wants to be your peace, your strength, your star.

In this period of the nativity, people are still broken, live addictions, do not see the end of the tunnel, are anxious by precariousness, wrapped by disease. Everything is dark ... Despite these alarming data, the Astre can gleam and give you back the joy.

When you are lost in so many different directions, there is that light in your heart that reassures you and tells you, "Do not be afraid." When you are alone in the world, the silence of night envelops you, the friends are no longer there and the lights of the outside are dying out ... know that the Lord wants to be your peace, your strength, your star. It may happen that love passes by you while you are caught in your anxieties, in your plans. At that moment, a gentle inner voice rises to bring you salvation.

Jesus, the light of the world is a lamp for your life, it enlightens you and shows you the way. He does not leave you in the midst of your darkness, but He illuminates your path by showing you the direction. Where you see only darkness, He brings clarity. Wherever you perceive fatality, He gives rise to the prospect of a better tomorrow. Where despair reigns, He springs hope. No matter how thick your darkness is, the divine light will always be superior. Follow the morning Star, the Astre that shines continuously.

A prayer for today

In this period of the nativity, I believe that Jesus is the Morning Star. He is stronger than my darkness, brighter than the darkness that angers me and it lights my way. Amen !
