Collegiality !

Ephesians 4:11 - And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers.

Nowadays, collegiality is a term which is often used but whose practice remains too little applied. The Lord has given five ministries of the Word : apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. How enriching it would be when these five ministries work together in complementarity, each remaining in what God has given him as a gift.

Nevertheless, we realize that our natural tendency is to surround ourselves and to work with people who have received donations similar to ours. However, I believe that this is a mistake and that on the contrary, if it is good to have vis-à-vis people who have received a donation similar to ours, it is important that this vis-à-vis extends to men and women with a different ministerial profile from ours. This allows an enrichment but also can avoid certain drifts. Now it is not easy to work with other people and whether we like it or not the pyramid system is a system embedded in our intelligence that is in need of renewal.

Yes, many are for collegiality, many are for the complementarity of ministries but on condition of being the head. You see what I mean ?

As we have already written in our lines : God is not looking for people to build an empire, God is looking for living stones which will interlock with each other but which will let His light pass ! However, we all have this natural tendency to come back to our “me I” and thus want to be the greatest. The disciples, moreover, wondered who would be the greatest. The greatest is our Lord ! Let's stop and know that He is God ! Without Him we can do nothing !

Let God transform our intelligence and put ourselves at the service of each other and enrich ourselves by sharing what each has received from God. We will grow and those who will benefit from this harmony will also grow.
