Come up here !

Revelation 4.1 - ... Come up here, and I'll show you what must happen next.

Today, if we took the opportunity to gain height. We live in a century that burdens us with so many burdens. Everything is done to draw us down, towards mediocrity, towards the mire, towards loneliness and distress. When we try to lift our heads, there is always a “good soul” to bring us down, to remind us that hoping for something better is completely in vain and useless.

The Word of God for us today is : “Come up here”. The Holy Spirit wants to draw us upwards. He wants to position ourselves in such a way that we can see things differently, a position that will allow us to discover what God is doing and that will lift the veil on our future. The Lord is not against our seeking to know our destiny, as long as we seek this information from Him.

If we remain stuck in the grayness of everyday life, worse if we rehash the past again and again, we will not be able to glimpse the “glorious” that our Heavenly Dad has in store for us. It is imperative to gain height. When your problem seems as big as a mountain, take to the skies; this new perspective will give you the certainty that nothing is unsolvable for your God.

Our God reigns in majesty over the whole universe. He can see from above all situations, all circumstances and all difficulties. By inviting us to go up, he invites us in fact to approach his heart, to come to this calm, serene and full of freshness place that is the top of the mountain. No matter the stress and anguish that reign below, the heights of the Lord are a safe and sturdy shelter.

My beloved, let us put this verse into practice. We are called to take flight like eagles (Isaiah 40:31). Let us let ourselves be carried by the warm breath of the Holy Spirit to reach the heights of the presence of the Father, this is where paradise is !
