Create a breach to the miraculous

"A few days later, Jesus returned to Capernaum. It was learned that he was at home, and so many people gathered that there was no room left, not even in front of the door. He told them the word. One came to bring him a paralyzed carried by four men. As they could not approach him because of the crowd, they discovered the roof over where he was standing and descended through that opening the stretcher on which the paralyzed was lying. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed : "My child, your sins are forgiven." Mark 2.1-6

The Bible tells us about this paralyzed man who could not reach Jesus.

"If you know a person who needs to be carried by your faith, take time to encourage him."

Have you ever been completely helpless in the face of the painful situation of one of your relatives ? You wish with all your heart to be able to help this person, but humanly, there is nothing that you can do to relieve it. So you do the only thing in your power : you are there. You stand there for this person. And by all possible means, you create a breach for the miraculous in his life.

What the four men do here is to carry not only physically but also spiritually this paralyzed man. Their faith is so great that they can drag their paralyzed friend to Jesus through an opening in the roof !

Like these men, you may not have the answer to what your loved ones are looking for, but you can wear them. You will be surprised to find that in their desperation, your faith is powerful. Thanks to the faith of his friends, the paralyzed was able to live something that he had always been denied until then because of his situation : the forgiveness of his sins.

An action for today

Today, if you know someone who needs to be carried by your faith, take time to encourage it. Whether with a message or a moment around a coffee, these are attentions that, when we find ourselves caught by the difficulties of life, help us to resurface.
