Day 3 : But how to pray ?

We have seen that we must first know the heart of God, in order to be able to pray according to his will. And what better way to know His heart than to go in His Word ?

The Bible gives us many prayers, especially in the New Testament. What we are going to do then is to study these prayers and then adopt them in our own lives. It's logic ! Does not the Bible provide us with the best possible prayers, since it is inspired by the Holy Spirit and therefore according to His will ?

But before we do that, we must first of all note some of the problems that arise in this area of ​​prayer.

Who among us has never a problem to pray on a regular and disciplined basis ? Or knows exactly what to pray each time ? The majority of Christians have this desire to pray, but often lose courage at one time or another, fall into repetition, and do not know how to pray intelligently and effectively.

You would be surprised to know the number of Christians who rarely set aside time for God.

Do you feel concerned ?

Take courage, you are not alone. Do not feel guilty, because guilt never comes from God, and does not produce results according to His will. Even the first disciples had the same problem. We can find it in the Bible when the disciples ask Jesus : "Lord, teach us to pray ...".

And Jesus answers them by giving them what we now commonly call the 'Our Father'.

In the days that follow, we will study together this famous prayer and see how it applies in our everyday lives, in a personalized and practical way.

"Thank you Lord that I do not need to feel guilty when I do not know what to pray, and thank you Lord that you want to teach me! In the name of Jesus, amen."
