Deliver me from my ego

"Lord, can you hear me ?

I am in excruciating pain, locked in myself, a prisoner of myself.

I only hear my voice, I only see myself.

Lord, can you hear me ?

Deliver me in my body, it is only hungry...

Deliver me in my heart, it's all swollen with me...

Deliver me in my mind, it is full of itself...

Lord, I cannot get out, I love my prison and at the same time I hate it, because my prison is me !

And I love myself, I love myself, Lord, and I disgust myself.

Lord, where is the door ? Take my hand. Open, show me the road, the way of joy, of light.

- Friend, the Lord hears you. Your suffering touches him.

Since the time he has been watching your closed shutters, open them, his light will shine on you.

Since the time he has been in front of your padlocked door, open it you will find him on the threshold.

He is waiting for you, the others are waiting for you,

But you have to open up, you have to get out of your house.

Why remain your prisoner ? You are free.

It is not he who can reopen it, it is you who hold it securely locked from the inside."
