"And I do this because of the gospel in order to share in its blessings" (1 Corinthians 9:23).
We must be determined for the gospel, and if you are not, you can become one ! You can become a daring lion, who will never let go of his prey. One day I received a prophecy that encouraged me greatly. The preacher told me that I was like a pit bull who would not let go of his prey. This guest preacher did not know that at that time I was experiencing a revolution in my spiritual life, devoting myself to God more than ever.
Let us examine a little the determination of the apostle Paul : "Indeed, although free to all, I made myself the slave of all to win the greatest number. With the Jews, I was like a Jew to win the Jews ; with those who are in the law of Moses, as if I were under the law - though not myself under the law - in order to win those who are under the law; with those who are without the law, as if I were without the law even though I am not without the law of God, since I abide by the law of Christ - to win those who are without the law. I was weak with the weak to win the weak. I made myself all to save some of them anyway, and I do this because of the Gospel in order to share in its blessings. Do not you know that the competitors in the stadium are all running, but only one wins the prize ? Run to win it. All athletes impose all kinds of deprivations, and they do it to obtain a crown that will destroy itself : but we are for an indestructible crown. So I run, but not like adventure ; I box, but not to beat the air. On the contrary, I treat my body hard and discipline it for fear of being disqualified after preaching to others" (1 Corinthians 9: 19-27).
What determination ! Here is a man who had a vision and who lived his life in function ! All his life was set to win souls. I am convinced that this can become our reality, I am convinced that you and I can devote our lives to this glorious ministry !
