Did God really say ?

Genesis 3.1 - Did God really say ?

A brother asked in a facebook post the question : “What is the biggest lie of the devil ?". After reflection, we answered him this verse from Genesis 3.1. Indeed, if the devil manages to make us doubt what God says, it is in our opinion the greatest lie, the greatest deception that can be found in the universe ! Imagine that He who is the Truth (John 14.6) is not believed for the benefit of the father of lies (John 8.44) and yet that is what Adam and Eve did.

If the devil manages to truncate the Word of God, then he takes full power over our lives. He robs us of the promises, our assurance of salvation, our identity in Christ, an abundant and fulfilling life to “offer” us a mediocre Christian life, full of fears and worries. Isn't that the biggest scam of all time, robbing us of our life of victories in God ?

The devil hates anything that is beautiful, holy, and pure. He likes to insinuate, to make believe, to push into suspicion. There's so much hate in this : "Did God really say ?". This beautiful intimacy that God wanted with human beings is dragged through the mud, suggesting basely selfish feelings in the heart of God. God loves us so much, He gave us everything in Jesus Christ !

When the devil or one of his acolytes whispers to you, “Did God really tell you ? shout to him : "Go away, you are only a liar but God, He is not a man to lie and He will accomplish everything He has said about my life" (Numbers 23.19) ! We can't stop the devil from trying to "sell" us his junk, but we can slam the door in his face ! May God bless you abundantly and restore to you all that the devil has stolen from you.

Good reflection.
