"Come to me, all of you who are tired and overwhelmed, you who are depressed, because you bend under heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11: 28-29
Many people seem stressed, exhausted, overwhelmed by events and tired by the demands of life. In Christ, it is possible to enjoy the rest of God and be freed from the burden of stress and anxiety.
God had already planned everything to restore you and help you solve your problems before they even arise.
The rest of which Jesus speaks in Matthew 11: 28-29 is not the respite after work. It is an inner rest - for your mind, your will and your emotions - that you can experience while attending to your daily activities. Begin by coming to God and humble yourself before Him. Then take his yoke on you, that is, ask God to help you and give you strength, regardless of the challenges that lie ahead. Together, God and you will then be able to face all that will present itself.
Life is not always rosy, and when we are faced with difficult situations, God wants us to place our trust in Him and expect Him to be wise and strong. I often pray : "Lord, help me, please." And I remember John 15: 5 who says that without Jesus we can do nothing, but that with Him, everything is possible.
Whether you are tired by the demands of everyday life or facing a problem, the best you can do is to give everything back to God and receive his rest.
Nothing escapes the control of God. Make the decision to believe God and His Word above all else. God knows all things. He knew everything about you even before he invited you to enter into a personal relationship with him - all your thoughts, words, sins, past, present and future actions. And he had already planned everything to restore yourself and help you solve your problems before they even arise.
Action for Today
Take the yoke of Jesus on you today. Tell him, "Lord, I trust you, I know you love me, I do not know or do not always understand what you're going to do or how you're going to do it, but I refuse to worry. " The secret of a stress-free life is as simple as that !
