Distribute all his food to the poor

"And if I give all my goods to the poor... but I have no love, it is of no use to me" (1 Corinthians 13: 3).

I do not think we realize how much love can work miracles. I think we have not seen what love can produce yet. I believe that we limit the power of love. It reminds me of the story of a man on a train. He saw a person seriously ill, and was filled with heavenly compassion. At the same moment, he cried, and the person was healed by his simple tear. May the love of God be great and surprising! I would like to grow in love. I would like to love as God. I wish I could live this love. The experiment. Not to be loved, but to love. I wish I could live this love given. I wish I could experience this transfer of love for others. There are so often in us blockages to love. We hold back and hold love instead of spreading it, distributing it, giving it, spreading it.

When we are not attached to money, it is easy enough to give goods to the poor. It is even possible, with a big heart, to give all our goods to the poor. And yet if it is not the divine love that motivates us to do it, it will not help. Some people gave their lives for a cause. Some have abandoned homes, property and families for war, for a cause. Others move abroad and have to separate from all their belongings. They put them in the street, and people serve.

We are so far from the love of God. Some extremely wealthy people give 90% of their income for causes, but if it is not God who directs their love, it will not help them. One can give a coin or a note to a poor man, and be so far from the heart of God. We must seek to love as God. We must seek to manifest the love of God. He poured it into our hearts, but since when have we not really manifested it ? I want to manifest that love, and you ?
