Do not be impressionable

Goliath was only different from the rest of his people. Inside, in his heart, he was just as fragile as they were. It's such a big mistake to look at things that are fleeting and visible. You will be completely wrong doing it ! Even the prophet Samuel made this mistake when he saw Eliab, David's older brother. He says when he sees his great height : "Surely, this is the anointed of the Lord" (1 Samuel 16: 6). Samuel had trouble understanding the lesson. He had seen Saul, passing all the people with his head, and Saul had failed. And now, to replace him, he wanted to take a new Saul.

When we are spiritual children, we are easily impressionable. We are looking at the earth. We hear a guest tell a testimony in our church, and we imagine that this is a giant of faith. It impresses us, and it will impress us as long as we continue to look at appearances. As children, we are also impressionable against enemies. A little cold and we are panicked, a little spiritual oppression, and we are frightened, an attack, and we are overwhelmed. This is because we do not dare to look enough at the one who is invisible.

Our mentality must be completely revolutionized. Oh, I pray that the mindset of Christ is formed in us so that we can see how God sees, so that we may consider as God considers, that we may act as God would like. I encourage you to think for a moment about how you perceive the people around you. Are your thoughts filled with the reasoning of this world, or are your thoughts God's ? Do you stop at what you see with your eyes, or at what God says about what you are looking at ? You have become a new creature in Christ, and it is because you are a new creature that you can manifest the works of your Father. He is your father and you have his nature. You have his capacity and his audacity, you have received everything from him.
