Do what God tells you !

"Blessed is this servant, whom his master upon his arrival will find so occupied !" Matthew 24.46

I do not know if you've known Jesus for long enough to know he has a predictable way to be unpredictable ! He likes change. In fact, I do not think he ever healed two people the same way in the Bible.

When you know the character of God, you know that he never asks any of his children to do anything that is beyond his means.

Just think of some strange orders he gave. When there was no more wine at a wedding, he told the servants to fill jars of water, then to use it to the organizer of the meal as if it were wine. When a blind man came to him to be healed, Jesus spat on the ground, made mud with saliva and said : "Here, apply it to your eyes and wash yourself in the tank."

Both could have replied : "I'm sorry, Jesus, that's ridiculous, I do not think it's going to work and I do not want to be laughed at, thank you." But they did not put the word of Jesus in doubt. They did what he told them ... and the miracle happened.

Jesus was looking for faith ! The question is whether we are ready to obey him without discussion or if we want to analyze every little order he gives us.

Often, when God asks us to do something for him, we consider the situation, then we answer him : "I am not like you, Jesus, I am totally unable to do that."

Perhaps you need to forgive people who have wronged you. Perhaps you ask God to give you a new home and he tells you to clean up the one you have. Perhaps you are waiting for a miracle that will reduce your debts and you continue to make extensive use of your credit cards.

Many of us lose years saying : "Lord, I can not, it's too hard." But this thought is just a tissue of lies from the enemy. When you know the character of God, you know that he never asks any of his children to do anything that is beyond his means.

At the very moment you take a step of faith to obey God, you are connected to divine strength and ability. The anointing makes you strong and what seemed impossible to you until now becomes much less so.

We often think : "I was faithful and I obeyed but nothing changed." Well, that will change! Perhaps it is not yet the moment when there are other things that God wants you to do before he gives you the final victory. But you can count on his intervention without worrying. It is said in Matthew 24:46 : "Blessed is this servant, whom his lord when he comes, shall find it so !"

If you do what God asks of you, no being on earth or any devil in heaven can prevent you from having what He wants you to have.

An action for today

Make a list of all that God has asked you and you have not done yet, and then decide by faith to obey him. Stay active. Read the word. Worship God with other believers. Keep giving. To learn and grow.
