Do you expect a miracle ?
"Do whatever he tells you." John 2. 5
Do you expect a miracle ? Reread the story of Jesus at the wedding feast in Cana where He turned water into wine ! Pay attention to what Marie said to the people who attended the reception : “Do whatever he tells you.” You too do it,
1- even if you are not in the right place ! It was at a wedding reception, not at a church meeting that Jesus performed this miracle. The granting of the greatest divine blessings does not depend on where we are, but on our obedience to God and our sensitivity to His call.
2- even if you have to face serious problems. They were running out of wine, which was particularly humiliating given the occasion. Too often, instead of pushing us to draw near to Jesus, the difficulties we encounter draw us away from Him. However, before we see a miracle happen in our lives, we must focus our eyes on the power of God and not on our problems.
3- even if no one is near you to encourage you. When Mary turned to Jesus, hoping that he would help her, he just put his faith to the test : “What do you want with me, woman ? My hour has not yet come” (John 2. 4). But she passes the test ! Undeterred by His words, she believed in the possibility of a miracle, trusted God, and saw a miracle take place.
4- even if you have only walked a very short time with Jesus. The servants who obeyed Jesus hardly knew Him, and His own disciples had only recently followed Him. Yet they all had to blindly obey Him. And so are you today !
5- even if you haven't seen any miracles in your life yet. Jesus was performing His first miracle there. All were to obey Him without their faith being able to rely on their past experiences. Hard to imagine a greater challenge !
6- even if you don't understand what is going on. Why have fun pouring water into empty amphorae ? Because if you give Jesus what you have in your hands, He will give you back what you need ! Living a life of miracles requires that you always obey Him !
