Do you have too much to do ?

"My son, do not forget my teaching, and let your heart keep my commandments, for they will increase the length of your days, the years of your life, and your peace." Proverbs 3.1-2

"I have too much to do." "There are not enough hours in the day." Words that are often heard in the workplace, in churches and in homes. But those who complain in this way may not realize that the help they need is in a simple promise from the Bible.

This promise says that God will increase "the duration of our days". They will always have twenty-four hours, but God can enable us to accomplish more than we thought possible. We will feel like we have more time, because God can make us more efficient and productive.

What to do to receive this extra time ? First, do not forget the commandments of God. Second, obey it. It is not enough to vaguely know the Bible or read it once in a while. Our mind must be imbued with His Word. It is not enough to think about it or to know it, we must put its principles into practice in a constant and faithful way.

If we fulfill these two conditions, the Bible promises to increase the duration of our days !

But there is more ! God also promises us to increase the years of our lives. We will live in fullness. It will broaden our perspective and give us more wisdom, discernment and understanding. He will grant us his favor and his anointing. Its protection and direction. We will also receive his peace! The truth will replace the agitation. Trust will drive away anguish and anxiety.

Do you want to be more productive ? Do you aspire to know the peace of God in every area of your life ? Do you want to experience his blessings ? Be sure to soak up His Word. Read it. Study it. Meditate. And obey it. Do not forget His Word ! You will then see the blessings of God pouring down on you. His peace will flood you. And the length of your days increase.

A prayer for today

Father, I want to fill my life with your Word. And I want to obey you and serve you. Thank you for making my life more productive and giving me your peace. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
