Does he want it ?

Luke 5:12 - Jesus was in one of the cities ; and behold, a man covered with leprosy, seeing him, fell on his face, and prayed to him : "Lord, if you will, you can make me clean."

There is something deeply touching about this leper whose name we unfortunately do not know. His "problem" was not whether the Lord Jesus was able to heal him, but whether it was his will. We feel in this question all his guilt, his feeling of rejection, his despair and the little light that still hopes !

Have we ever been in this situation ? Have we thought that God did not want to bless us, although we were well aware that He is more than able to do so ? Has the experience of life "destroyed" us so much that there is only a tiny bit of hope left. Jesus' response should fill us with joy, He declared forcefully : “I will, be clean” (Luke 5:13).

Yes beloved, the Lord wants our good, our development, our healing, our deliverance ! Jesus demonstrated with power and glory that the will of the Father is our restoration, our restoration. Whatever the horror of your leprosy, He wants to take it away, to eradicate it, to make it disappear forever.

How long has the devil, with his false accusations, kept you from "throwing" you at Jesus' feet ? How long has he made you believe it's too late, too serious, too unforgivable, too... ? He will not break the broken reed, and he will not extinguish the smoldering candle, until he has made justice triumph, the Word tells us (Matthew 12:20)! Come to Him, come back to Him my friend !

Good reflection !
