Don't lose sight of him

We might as well face it, conflicts have even infiltrated our church life. It is quite true that the Church is now the militant Church. But, as such, his war should be one of devotion to revealed truth and divine holiness, not intramural quarrels and carnal disputes. We read in the second chapter of Luke that Joseph and Mary once lost Jesus. Where did they lose it ? They lost it at the most unlikely place in the world, the Temple. I have seen many people lose Jesus directly in the church. I saw them lose him in an argument over who was to be the director of the choir, who was to play the organ, who was to be an elder, or who was to be the minister. Yes, because we are human, although Christians, it is easy to lose sight of Jesus directly in the temple !
