Don't make him wait
Lord, we cannot but be ashamed of ourselves, as our kings, our rulers and our ancestors, because we have sinned against you. Daniel 9.8
In his letter that the apostle Paul wrote to the Christians of Rome, his judgment is final : There is no righteous, not even one. And he adds : All have sinned indeed and fall short of the glorious presence of God (Romans 3:10, 23). Every human needs the blood of Christ shed on Calvary to atone for his sins. There is the sinner's place of refuge. Knock, and it will be opened to you (Luke 11.9). He is waiting for you to forgive you, to wash away your filthiness. But three things are required ; confess your sins ; recognize the Lord as your Savior ; lay down the weapons you have carried so far in revolt against him. Now live the life of a new person in Christ ; a life of obedience to his will, in which you will serve him. Instead of presenting yourself defiled by sin before the holy God, you can, by his grace, be cleansed and made righteous. This is the good news of the gospel for the salvation of everyone who believes.
There is no other way that can lead you to Jesus Christ. He is the way (cf. John 14:26) and he wants you to be able to follow him.
It is certain that your journey will sometimes be strewn with difficulties, sadness, tears and sometimes mourning, but Jesus Christ will remain by your side according to his promise : I am with you every day until the end of the world (Matthew 28.20).
